Outdoor Activities Abound... The "Lakes Region" of Northeastern Pennsylvania and our Dyberry River valley abound with outdoor activities, including trout fishing, hiking, biking, canoeing and more.
Incredible Biking Flat, along a trout stream through thousands of acres of state game lands.
You can bike for several miles along the east branch of the Dyberry trout stream on Dug Road, Upper State Road and then Shieldsboro Road all the way to route 371. This stretch is relatively level, and meanders through 8,000 acres of state game lands.
For those more ambitious bikers, you can continue by crossing 371 and head all the way to Equinunk - a backwater village along the scenic Upper Delaware River. Bike rentals are available right in Honesdale from http://www.sawmillcycles.com/

Music & Culture - Just 8 minutes away...
In June of 2012 a new community music and events venue opened in Honesdale. The Cooperage - www.TheCooperageProject.org
This is an amazing venue that was once an old barrel making facility. It's stage is now graced by some of the best musical talent in the Philadelphia/New York region and many other social events such as this contra dance are held frequently.
We suggest checking their schedule in advance before visiting the area - it's a really great place - and BYOB with food served on certain nights.
